Tyre Fitting and Replacement in Beenleigh
Fitted, balanced, torqued and back on the road from $90 per tyre. And honest advice first, because not every tyre that comes in here needs replacing.
Whether you found us as Singh tyres, Singh auto and tyres, or Singhs tyre and mechanical, the tyre bay on Harburg Drive works one way. Your tyres get inspected before anything is recommended, you get told which ones pass, which can be repaired and which genuinely need replacing, and nothing happens until you have said yes to an itemised quote. Fitting and balancing runs from $90 per tyre as at 2026, and if a $40 repair does the job, that is what you will be offered, because the same rule that runs the whole workshop runs the tyre bay too.
What does tyre fitting actually include here?
The $90 per tyre is the whole job, not a base rate with add ons waiting at the counter. Step by step, the old tyre comes off and the casing and valve are inspected, the new tyre is mounted with a new valve, the wheel is spun and balanced on the machine so it runs true, the wheel goes back on and every nut is torqued to the manufacturer specification rather than rattled on, pressures are set on all four corners, and your old tyre is disposed of properly. While the wheels are off, the technician eyes your brakes too, not to sell you anything, just because it would be negligent not to look when the view is that good.
When does a tyre legally need replacing in Queensland?
Straight answer, when any part of the tread that touches the road wears below 1.5 millimetres, the Queensland legal minimum, and well before that if you value wet braking. This table is the honest guide, as at 2026.
| Tread depth | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| New tyre, around 8mm | Full wet and dry grip | Nothing, drive |
| Down to 3mm | Legal, but wet braking distances are already growing | Start planning replacement, this is the safety community's recommended change point |
| At 1.5mm | The Queensland legal minimum, the tread wear indicator bars sit flush with the tread at this point | Replace now |
| Below 1.5mm | Illegal and dangerous, fines and demerit points apply per defective tyre, and a safety certificate cannot pass | Stop driving on it, replace |
The quick check between visits costs 20 cents. Sit a 20 cent coin in the main groove, and if the tread does not reach the platypus bill, you are near or under 3mm and due for a proper look. Age matters too, a tyre past five years old deserves an inspection even with tread left, because rubber hardens and cracks long before it goes bald.
Can a punctured tyre be repaired, or does it need replacing?
An honest tyre bay repairs what is safe to repair and refuses what is not, and tells you which is which before you spend a dollar.
Every repair here happens with the tyre off the rim, because the inside of the casing has to be inspected before anyone can honestly call a tyre safe.
| The damage | Repair or replace | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Small puncture in the central tread area, casing sound | Repairable | A proper plug and patch from the inside restores the tyre safely |
| Puncture in the sidewall or shoulder | Replace | These zones flex constantly, no repair holds safely, and the standards do not permit it |
| Driven flat or run flat on the damage | Almost always replace | Running flat destroys the casing from the inside, even when the outside looks fine |
| Cords or fabric visible, cracking, bulges | Replace | The structure has failed, tread depth no longer matters |
| Tread already at or under 1.5mm | Replace | Repairing an illegal tyre helps nobody |
Can you come to me for a tyre?
Often, yes. A flat in your driveway or a puncture at your workplace is exactly what the mobile mechanic service exists for, covering 15 to 20 kilometres around Beenleigh, and plenty of punctures get repaired on site. What honestly cannot travel is the alignment equipment, so a mobile fit that needs an alignment afterwards gets booked for a workshop visit, and you get told that upfront rather than discovering it later.
What does tyre work cost in Beenleigh?
| The job | Price as at 2026 | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Tyre fit and balance | From $90 per tyre | Mount, new valve, balance, torque to spec, pressures, old tyre disposal |
| Wheel alignment | $60 to $99 | Full alignment on the machine, details on the alignment page |
| Wheel balancing only | See the balancing page | Vibration diagnosis and rebalance without new tyres |
| Puncture repair | Quoted after inspection | Off the rim, inspected inside, repaired only if it is safe |
Whichever line applies, nothing is fitted or repaired until you have approved an itemised quote.

A tyre either passes, gets repaired properly, or gets replaced. You will always be told which, and why.

Quick tyre questions, answered straight
How long does tyre fitting take?
Usually while you wait, and calling ahead lets us lock the bay for you so a set of four does not become your whole morning. Walk ins are welcome six days a week, and if the bays are full we will tell you the honest next time rather than have your car sit.
Do I need a wheel alignment with new tyres?
It is not compulsory, but it is the smartest $60 to $99 you can spend after buying tyres. A car out of alignment scrubs new tread off unevenly, so skipping the alignment quietly shortens the life of the tyres you just paid for. How alignment works here.
Can you repair a puncture in the sidewall?
No, and neither can anyone doing it safely. Sidewalls flex with every rotation, so no repair holds, and the standards rule it out. A sidewall puncture means replacement, and we will say so straight away rather than sell you a repair that fails on the motorway.
What tyres can you supply?
We fit and supply tyres across budget through to premium for nearly all passenger cars, SUVs, utes and light commercials. Tell us your size or rego over the phone and you will get the honest options and availability on the spot, usually same day.
What is the legal minimum tread depth in Queensland?
1.5 millimetres on the tread that touches the road, under Queensland vehicle standards. The safety community recommends replacing at 3 millimetres because wet braking suffers well before the legal limit, and that is the advice you will get here too.
Fitted properly, priced honestly, from $90 per tyre.
